Book Review
Met with Rev. Adam Hamilton, senior pastor of one of the largest churches in the U.S., Resurrection Church in Leawood, KS in April, 2021. His review “Was just reading Amy Bretall’s book of images of the cross In Plain Sight. Really some beautiful images shot with her iPhone coupled with poetry and reflections. Amy has a “magnificent obsession” to see the cross in everyday life.” Reading my book in advance of our meeting, he had pages marked. Adam said two of his favorites were Sights Above, pg 39/40 and Arise, pg 71/72, During our meeting he asked if I had heard of Steve Curtis Chapman’s song, Magnificent Obsession, saying my work reminded him of.
